   Hi all,

   I have WP 2.9.2 version installed, for the past few months we have been using WP with no problems.

   Recently we have been having issue with images, for some reason they upload but do not show.
   For instance all the image file info comes up in the uploader but no thumbnail appears, when I press 'insert to post' the outline of the image appears - but no image.

   The only thing that I can think of is that we recently changed our server type to Linux from Windows Server 2003, this was so that we would be able to change some of our folder permissions for a new theme that we have purchased and want to use.

   changing the server type was necessary to be able to use this theme, as I said we purchased it and now want to use it.

   now I am unsure what to do, or if this is a known issue, perhaps there is a solution without having to change the server back to windows?

   any advice on how to fix the issue would be grateful.

   Find one of the bad images. Look at it in the media library. What is the file url? Paste that in to your browser to see if it shows. Use ftp to check the file location and size. Is it zero bytes or the original size?

   when i paste the URL of the image into the browser all I get is HTML code of what appears to be my blog.

   i cannot find the image in the ftp, it does not seem to be in the uploads folder.
