No one else has this issue?? It’s for the Elegant Grunge template.
Hi:
Yes I too have images w/photo frame issues in IE7 (haven’t upgraded yet to IE8). But my problem is a bit more erratic, in that sometimes an image w/frame is downsized, say around 25% or so, but if you refresh the page it comes up full size.
Sometimes it never happens.
Other issue is sometimes a smaller photo will first appear smaller than a thumbnail, though the photo frame stays almost correct size. Upon refreshing, all is well.
Mr. Tyson … any fixes for this?? 🙂 Especially since IE is still ruling the roost as to percentage of users vs. other browsers.
I must say, I’m having some troubles replicating the problem – could you point me to a site where it’s happening?
The image framing facility in the theme is definitely not optimal – the only way I could implement it and still have images behaving the same way as the original (i.e. inline) seems to have some issues in IE (doesn’t everything?). I’m currently involved in re-implementing the idea in a new way (michael.tyson.id.au/michaelangelo), which will be a separate plugin and should be much better.
Hiya Michael:
Gee thanks for looking into this. I gotta tell you the issue persists on a RANDOM basis for me, but if I refresh the post/page it corrects itself soooooooo … I’ve no clue how to make it “stick” so you can see it.
On another note … I just installed Rubayat’s Mod 1.1 (I really needed wider content area and less leader) and will see if perhaps this weird image glitch stops.
Will let you know.
(BTW – watching your progress w/michaelangelo — really like the “scotch taped” corners.)
Hi again Michael:
OK … the problem is still persisting with Mod 1.1 installed.
To better show you, I’ve uploaded a jpg — I’ve just taken 3 screen shots of 3 different blog posts with the goofed-up image; to the right of each screen shot is the way the image is supposed to show. **Note: when I refreshed the page, the image corrected itself.

To try and see if it does it for you in real time, here’s my blog: http://the-artistic-garden.com/blog/
Please note that sometimes it doesn’t happen. But the way I got it to occur today was by starting at the home page, and then every time i clicked “Older entries” link, that resulting page had goofed up images. Refreshing corrected it, as I said.
Every now and then, this issue does not occur, as when I clicked over to the “Newsletter Sign Up” page – that image appeared correctly.
And yes … IE is quirky. Maybe IE8 will be a blessing to all of us!
Let me know what you think. (Can a simple line of coding correct this?)
Thanks!
