images only on homepage

I’m in the early phase of building my first wp site. Images are only showing up on the home page. On all the other pages just the ? icon. I’ve tried various file paths to no avail. I’ve also search through various post and recommendations on the forum. But nothing has worked. HAs anyone encountered this before?
