Images Not Showing in Firefox (9 posts)

Firefox has been my browser of choice for years. And then tonight, for no clear reason (or event) I can discern, my header and sidebar images are no longer showing up in Firefox. They ARE still showing fine in both IE7 and Chrome.

Using Cutline Theme, but research on Cutline Forum seems to indicate this is not a theme-related problem.

I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot. Have not had the problem until today and don't know of anything I did to cause it. Was in my dashboard but had not yet opened an editing screen. And, again, anything I did within WordPress would, presumably, affect all browsers not just Firefox ....

    Would welcome any suggestions.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

I have the same problem and deactivated all plugins and switched back to the original theme, but the problem remains.

I tried it on two different machines.

It shows up fine in IE, but for some reason doesn't follow the stylesheets (although they're found) on Firefox.

Just take a look at it http://my-ai.com/articles/ and compare between Firefox and IE.

BTW, I also got the same problem on Opera without any error in the error console, which is quite surprising!

Are you using the same theme & plugins? Are you using the same version of WordPress? If not, please post a new topic.

I tried 5 themes including the default one and get the same results.

    The problem is identical.

    Just look at it please.

Note that I just installed this site and never tried it on other browsers before today.

It is configured in multi-site and I did get a warning when activating a plugin, which has since been deactivated.

I just overwrote all the files and deleted the downloaded plugins to see if it made any difference but it doesn't.

So the problem has to be in the DB or the config file, if it should have worked properly in other browsers in the first place.

I found the bug but don't have a clue how it got there.

Right after the comment in header.php, there was:
    <!DOCTYPE html>

I removed that and it works fine now.

Defects in firefox - In firefox I can not see four icons for adding image, vedio, audio or media, next to "upload/insert" in "edit post" page. Nor can I see the pictures I added. Also I can see the protected posts which I should not be able to see. But in google chrome, All three tasks are as they should be. I can see four icons next to "upload/insert" , can see all pictures I added and can not see the protected posts which is as should be. I tried disabling all "add on"s, starting firefox in safe mode but all the three problems remain even in safe mode. Btw we have an antivirus named quickheal on the computers network. I am using twenty ten theme.
