Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I have moved my wordpress blog from one domain to another subdomain. See here - blog.garethiwanjones.com
I copied the wp-content folder to the new wordpress account and imported the old xml file. Everything has come through fine except that all the images frommy library are not displaying. They are there I can see them in the ftp but when I put the file's url into the address bar it comes back as access denied. heres an example url

I am very confused, and not sure what is causing this. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Interestingly I have the same problem when I try and upload new images, They upload no problem but then show as broken links.

I believe that you will have to upload the files again. I had the same issue and I had to do this and replace them with the new. I think it might have something to do with your Database SQL connection.
Give it a try and let me know

Right click the file in the FTP and see what address it sends you too. Perhaps there is file permissions in that folder that is not allowing it to be sent. I would def bring it up with the host. Did you transfer from a different host?

I've just tried reinstalling everything for the third time and this time weirdly a couple of images are showing up. This makes no sense.
All images are showing on the ftp
This is the url from the ftp for an image that is displaying -
ftp://garethiwanjones.com@ftp.hosts.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/GIJ-VOGELS-BRAYLEINO-018-1000x288.jpg
And this is the url for an image that isn't displaying -
ftp://garethiwanjones.com@ftp.hosts.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/The-Aviator-Hotel.jpg
I can't see any difference between the two.

Here are two image urls from my wordpress site. One displays the other says no access.
Displays-

Weirdly if I just FTP upload an image the image url will display but if I upload through WP it will give me access denied
Does anybody know if this means it has to be a file permissions problem with my host?

**update**
Not exactly solved but i figured a workaround out after many hours faffing.
I copied the uploads files to my hardrive and then deleted them from my wp-content folder through ftp. I then reloaded all the uploads files on the FTP and it seemed to sort it.
Never worked out what caused it though.

I am desperately trying to upload a theme to my wp site. I have successful file transfer with filezilla but under themes it isnt showing up. Im new to this and am really struggling to understand. Im sure it is something simple that i am doing incorrectly but I just cannot for the life of me figure it out

I think the root level is changed for new domain.For example,if location of images in your 1st domain is htttp://example.com/image.jpg and it will be changed with the transferred domain.This may cause the error.
