Images in WP Gallery Don't Show

    I’m having trouble with images that I uploaded into the WP Media Gallery. I used to be able to see them in my blog but now they don’t show. The gallery provides links to each image and if I click the link I can then see the image. But, the image doesn’t show directly in the blog post like it used to.

    I just noticed this and suspect it stopped working within the past week or so. I had installed the IntenseDebate and After the Deadline plugins around that time so I deactivated them. There has been no change. I have not made any other changes (that I can recall) to the blog.

    The only other factor I can think of is that I am blogging more on my iPad and posting from the WP iPhone/iTouch/iPad app. I’m not sure how, if at all, that impacts anything.

    Does anybody have any ideas or resolutions? I don’t believe this to be a problem with permissions on my web host because the images show if I click the link. Additionally, I can do a IMG SRC code and images will show in the post. The image will also show if there is only 1 image in the post that I uploaded.

    If there is a gallery of images (multiple images uploaded to a single post) then the problem exists.

    This is very weird and I cannot understand this.

    Is anyone else having this problem? It still occurs for me and I can’t figure out why or how to fix it.

    I discovered that the Cleaner Gallery plugin causes the problem and I can’t figure out a way to make that plugin work with this. It used to work but something must have changed. I resolved this by deactivating and deleting the plugin.

    I’m having the same problem that arickrol mentions. On one of the posts on my site (not all), the gallery is empty. The DL and DT tags are being generated, but there are no IMG tags inside the DTs. i believe that this is a new problem since upgrading to version 0.8.

    It looks like the image_link type for that post was “Large” and that the plugin is using “get_intermediate_image_sizes()” which includes “large”, so the match on line 163 of gallery.php wasn’t happening. I changed the settings for the post that was having trouble from linking to the image file to linking to the attachment page, then changed it back and the page works for me now. Looks like the WP function changed the case of the file sizes in 3.0.

    I guess this is the translation for ih8gates solution, worked for me.
    Added link=”file” to de gallery and the images were back.
