• I just created a wordpress blog and I have a few problems. The person who is going to create blog posts, sometimes uploads huge photos (10mb or so), and wordpress doesn’t seem to see this as a problem, and only scales down the photos, which makes the blog load for quite some time.

Is there some way to achieve the following?:

-Have a plugin of sort, that resizes the images and lowers the quality
-Some posts will contain quite a lot of photos. Are there some sort of plugin that provides thumbs kept together for one post?
-How many blog posts will need to be posted before a second page is created?

If you have unlimited bandwith or server space, good for you. But can you not tell the person to scale down the picture even before uploading to WordPress? There’s Photoshop and the free Gimp and free and easy IrFanview

Since 2.5, WordPress has native gallery per post basis –
    Then there’s NextGen Gallery plugin.

How many blog posts will need to be posted before a second page is created?

You can set it at Admin – Settings – Reading. Take note that the number you place there will be the number of posts that will appear in Archive, Category, Tag, etc/ pages as well.
