Images have reformatted themselves. Help. (13 posts)

    Hello World,

I am having some serious problems with the images used on my posts. I've spent a lot of time resizing and formatting each image so that a collection of images looks a certain way, in a scrapbook style format.

However, the images seemed to have reformatted themselves and are now completely out of sync - some far bigger than others, not where they were before. When I try to re-edit them, they are perfectly aligned in the draft view but as soon as they are updated or previewed they show completely different changes.

I have no idea how to solve this problem. I cannot re-work them because they already seem to be where they should be. The only option would be to readjust them blind and keep checking how it looks in preview mode. This will be painstaking though, may not actually work and may even revert back to another format.

I'd be extremely grateful if someone could give me some advice on this. It's ruined the entire image of my blog and I have no idea how to fix it.

    Thanks in advance guys,

    Marion

Have you tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Hi Esmi,

Thanks so much for getting back to me. Have just tried switching to Twenty Eleven but the issues are still there and the images are completely messed up.

Any other things to try? Feeling a bit desperate.

I never switch between html and visual, as I don't know how to use the code. Nothing changes when the posts are updated.

    Marion,

Could you please explain how you organize your images? Do you enter the height and width manually? please be specific.

    Marion,

You are on the wrong forum. This forum is for self hosted WordPress sites, not for sites on WordPress.com. (They sound similar but totally different) They can help you much better over there. Here's the address: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/

Hi, thanks for all the advice. I'm pretty sure mine if self hosted as it's not a 'wordpress.com' site. Unless I've misunderstood.

    Marion,

    These are your name servers:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

Another look at your page source will tell again that this a wordpress.com site.
