I noticed that some images in the Media Panel of WP are not showing but are in the wp-content/uploads directory and are showing corectly on my website. I wondered why. These images were originally uploaded into "date and year" in the Media Panel. I changed this many years ago in an old version of WP(delelected the date/year) and since then all images including the old images are listed in wp-content/uploads directory (with no year/date directories). There is no directory with any year or dates listed in the "uploads" directory - but in the Media Panel each image still shows the url as being in a year/date directory in uploads. This url for each media file in the Media panel of WP cannot be changed. So how do I change these paths to the corect one so I can see these old images in the Media Panel.

You'd need to re-upload those older images.

Posted 1 year ago #If I do this (reload the old images) then this will change the wp-image "number". I would have to delete the old image first, reload the old image and then find where the post/page of the old image is and change the wp-image "number". This will be very time consuming.
Is there any other way to just change the directory name which had this year/date, say in Mysql/Appache/PHP etc.
