Watermark WP Image Protect
[resolved] Images don't show watermark consistently (4 posts)

I've set the watermark to work across my site. Transparent box and gray lettering. It's working correctly on my header image but nothing else.

On a draft posting, there is a white box but no lettering on those images. And finally, it's not showing at all on the images on the rest of the site.

Also, WP Image Protect Lite is showing up twice under Settings dropdown.

    Thanks.

Have you sorted this now? What versions of Watermark WP Image protect and WordPress are you using?

I'm guessing it was a caching issue, not the plugin. On visiting your site all the images appear to have watermarks. If you have already viewed the image you will need to clear the browser and server cache to ensure you are seeing the latest version of the image.

Using Watermark WP Image Protect Lite version 2.3 and WordPress 3.6.1.

Some of the images were exempted from watermark by me which does appear to be working. This weekend, I was looking at my site on a friend's iPad who has never browsed my site before. The watermarking was random for those images that are all supposed to have a watermark. Some postings and pages are not showing watermarks at all, yet others are working. I will continue to check. Maybe it's a device issue.

On a different note, when I found the plug-in was not working, I deactivated and removed it, yet then I could see no images at all in my image library. Just a blue question mark box for each image. I had to reinstall the plug-in in order to see my images again. Didn't seem to be a clean un-install.

Best solution is to try on a clean install. There are several plugins which also modify how images are displayed and could be interfering with the way the plugin operates.

The issue with the images not displaying after deactivation is almost certainly a caching issue, the plugin doesn't modify the original images. You may wish to visit Settings -> Permalinks and hit save to ensure that WordPress is processing the updated permalinks correctly.
