   hi ive made a basic layout for my site in dreamweaver. it views fine on the web when saved as html and this can be viewed here http://p9.hostingprod.com/@thedbomb.com/blog/wp-content/themes/thedbomb/index.html

   however when the exact same file is saved as index.php to be used in wordpress it looks like this and all images fail to load

   any help appriciated. total noob

   themes are far more than just an HTML template laid out and saved as php...

   if you want to create your own theme, i suggest researching the codex - there are several files and a CSS stylesheet that will need to be made...

   dammit i only started as id read you could make a basic layout this way

   sorry to break it to you, but you can't make wordpress themes like that...

   good luck with working on it - i think the links i provided will help.
