    I am trying to implement the promotions slider on my front page, the images appears half the size of what i set them too when i set featured images.

    I can't seem to figure out the reason behind this looking through the menu options.

    samersultan1 it seems like you have figured out the problem

    I am having the same type of problem I have tried every way i know how to resize the slider or resize the images but it acts like the slider is set and adjusts my images accordingly. I am wanting my images to fill the width like it show on your website as well.

    @emilyjeanblevins,

    The #container element on your page is 940px wide, however, your slider is inside a #content div within the #container div which has a left margin of 20px (which is why your slider is slightly to the right) and a right margin of 280px. The margins that are applied to that containing element limit the default width of your slider (if you were not to set a width in the shortcode) to 640px. At the same time, the width of your actual uploaded images vary between 920px and 934px.

    I assume that 920px is how wide you want your slider, which is what I am currently seeing. At this point, it looks like you just need to shift the slider to the left a little.

    To fix it, just add the following line to your active theme's style.css file:

    #content .promo_slider_wrapper { margin-left: -10px; }

    This will bump the slider to the left so that it is centered. Your 934px wide image will still be clipped on the righthand side to 920px (as per the shortcode width), but I am assuming that this is acceptable.

    @samersultan1,

    When you set the featured image, clicking on an image size doesn't actually do anything. This is confusing, I know, but those sizes only apply when you click the 'Insert into post' button, which doesn't have anything to do with the featured image. If you got that misinformation from the video guide on the Promotion Slider plugin page, I apologize... that video was done by a user who didn't understand this (everything else is accurate). You will have to use the image size settings in the Promotion Slider plugin to affect the images in the slider.

    Keep in mind, however, that if you set a specific size in WordPress, the images you upload will have to be at least as wide / tall as the size you select. WordPress crops images down based on image size settings, but never stretches them out.

    If you find that the standard WordPress image sizes aren't cutting it for you, WordPress allows you to define your own and my plugin provides a filter where you can have it use your custom image size definitions.
