Hi all,
I'm having a terrible time uploading images all of a sudden to my WordPress site, which lives at http://www.bmpaudio.com/wordpress
I didn't have a problem with it previously, but now suddenly the image files appear to upload, but then just don't show up. Same appears to be true for MP3 files-- they act like they've uploaded but then the Quicktime player doesn't do anything. Anyone else having this problem?
Is this likely to be a WordPress problem, or a hosting problem? Or a template problem? It's driving me nuts! Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?
- increasing your available memory?

Hi Esmi,
It turned out to be a "permissions issue" according to my hosting provider, Network Solutions. They reset the permissions on the account (whatever that means), and suddenly all of the photos and audio files I'd uploaded showed up as if they'd been there all along.
So, I guess the advice to future people experiencing this problem is to call your hosting provider. I figured they'd claim it was a WordPress issue, but they were actually quite helpful.
Thanks for your suggestions!
