[resolved] Image widget image not showing up in IE (4 posts)

I'm using Grunge Wall as a theme and tried both the 'Image Widget' and the 'Simple Image Widget' to put a picture in the sidebar column. It works fine for Chrome(both Mac and PC), Safari, and Firefox but does NOT work at all for Internet Explorer. All that shows up is a small box where the image is supposed to be. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I thought it should be simple but I've looked all over and can't find a fix. Many thanks in advance!

    Here's my link:

Not sure if it got in but it's neworleansbook.com

I can see an image in your sidebar using IE8.

Ah, I just fixed it by changing the picture for it. I don't know why it didn't work before but I just took the jpeg and opened it in Paint, then saved it with a different name and now it works. Something in the original file wasn't working I guess.

It probably wasn't encoded correctly. IE can't display .jpg that use progressive (rather than standard) encoding.
