   Hello,
   I have been having some problems with Image uploader (or any other uploader - media, sound,...) - mostly it doesn't even open after the clicking on any of the icons. When it does it loads the uploader over entire screen (insted of popping out a dialog window) and after clicking anything to close it (Insert loaded image into post, etc...) it exits to blank screen.

   It works fine on pages - the dialog window pops up, image gets loaded and the inserted into page.
   The problem only appears when I'm uploading images to Posts.

   I have tried to:
   1. disable plugins and enable one by one
   2. delete wp-admin and wp-include and replace by new ones
   3. install alternative upload (Worpress Flash Uploader, Disable Flash Uploader)

   None of these work.

   Please I would be happy for any suggestions.

   Have you tried:

   - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   I have tried to switch the theme. But no change.
   I guess that it is not theme relevant, because theme doesn't change admin interface.
   Will try to reset the plugins folder...

   Oh - yes, they can! Especially badly coded or incompatible themes.

   Ok, nothing works...
   Plugins reset.
   Theme changed to 20-11 and even 20-10.

   Anyone has any suggestion?
   Is there some way how to bypass entire wp uloader?

   Try re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

   ... Have already tried, at least with wp-admin and wp-include folders - deleted and uploaded new versions.
   But no change.

   I do not want to mess up wp-config so I didn't deleted stand alone wordpress files.

   The upload I suggested will not affect the wp-config.php file.

   OK. Deleted and replaced even those.
   No change...

    My problem with upload image is that it has quit working. I browse, get an image and when I click upload, nothing happens.

    By the way until this problem, when I uploaded I got a "fatal error" message. The image would be in the gallery but only in large size, which would fill the screen. And in most themes, my photos are distorted.

    Try another browser. Or another computer. What ever this is, it's specific to your site/setup

    OK, finally found a solution (sort of), but works fine.
    Plugin that goes by the name - Faster Image Insert.

    Pop up window still doesn't show up, but at least now there is another way to upload images and write post on the same page at the same time.

    Esmi thanks for all the help.
    I'm glad that I would know how to troubleshoot any posssible future problems (or try to) :)

    P.S. Now the final stats :)
    Browsers tried - total of 5 - Firefox 3.6, Firefox 6, Safari, Explorer, Chrome
    Computers tried - 3
    OSes tried - 3 - W7 64bit, XP, MacOS
