   The image uploader dialog has fields for
   Title
   Alternate text
   Caption
   Description
   Link URL

   For Link URL, the options are three buttons - None, File URL, Post URL.

   Now, there once was a time when the default was "None" - that field was empty. At some point - on my install at least - the default is now File URL. So unless my users explicitly change to None when uploading, we get a clickable image, when we definitely do not want a clickable image.

   Is there a way to make the default "None" again?

   WP "remembers" the last setting used, so if the Link URL is set to None, it should stay that way until it's changed again.

   That's definitely not what's happening. But based on your comment I wondered if I had some conflict, so I disabled the plugin Faster Image Insert. Then I tried inserting images and it still reverts to having the image URL instead of None.

   Same problem for me ! I have the plugin Faster Image Insert as well...
