• We’re having a problem with the image uploader. It’s displaying images as having no dimension, we can’t set featured images, and therefore all images except those in their original size. It’s creating all the correct crops and sizes but apparently doesn’t know they’re there.

This was working after the latest update, and seems to have spontaneously stopped working. We haven’t added any plugins or really changed anything we can think of. Any ideas?

  • Have you checked your uploads path in Settings->Media? Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

    Thanks for the suggestions esmi.

We tried a new install of WordPress, deactivated and reactivated plugins, used a working backup of our theme… None of these things seem to work. I must admit we haven’t tried increasing the memory to PHP but I haven’t been made aware of any errors in that regard. We have notified our host. If you have any other suggestions please let me know! I am all ears.

    Yes. The path is correct.

Believe it or not, I did read that before I posted this. 🙂 Not helpful. But thank you for trying anyway.
