   Hi all,

   I've just uploaded a new wordpress site to a clients server and there seems to be some sort of issue with uploading media.

   I'm able to add a file for upload and it seems to go through the motions ok but when the file details are displayed the image is missing...? I don't believe it's a chmod issue as I don't get any error returned to me.

   When I check to see if the image has actually uploaded it's missing from the uploads folder?

   Anyone have an idea of what this may be?

   Check the uploads path in Settings -> Media.

   Have you checked you server logs for an error? The flash uploader may actually be hiding the error from displaying on your screen. The symptoms you're describing really do sound like a permissions problem. I would definitely check the server's error log and also see what the permissions are set to on the upload directory before assuming it's not a chmod issue.
