The upload image feature on all my blogs (1.5 amd 2.0 versions)has stopped working. Get message saying cant upload to folder.
Have done all the basic checks including the permissions and everything is OK. Any thoughts???

Does it also say this with very small images ?

Posted 6 years ago #It does it on all images. What could my host move that would cause problem... just so I know if they try to BS me???
Everything else seems to work OK. -
Posted 6 years ago #If you really did nothing, and you really have checked the permissions then there is only one other person whoc can have changed things - the host.
I wouldn't say it's BS - they may see a minor change as something not worth noting.
I'd check everything again before asking them though.

Posted 6 years ago #Found the problem. Went to the Admin > Options > Miscellaneous.... and found that the recommended directory was different from the one being used. Made the change back, and images now upload.
Purchased some software for wordpress that didnt work because of plugin in-compatability and the manufacturer had visited my site (I gave permission) to find the plugin that was causing the problem. Thats the only explanation I can think of as to why it was changed... all OK now.
