Image upload is not possible because of missing temporary folder. All forum items on this topic are closed. But solutions for 2.7 or 2.8 do not fit for 3.1.3. ( I did try some) That is why I open this Topic again.
I do not host this site myself. No access to php.ini or to htaccess,
So the solution should be in WP itself.

the message is in Dutch:
"Uploaden van "450kauwtjesP6227623.JPG" is niet gelukt als gevolg van een fout
Er ontbreekt een tijdelijke map."uploeding of "img" did not succeed as a result of na error, a temp folder is not there.

Posted 11 months ago #In my opinion here is something wrong, WP has to fit in a nomal hosting program, my host will not do this of course. He hosts as is. WP has to make its own solutions. IF it needs a temp folder it has to make it itself.
I am sorry WP causes this trouble.

Thats the problem, It sounds like due to your hosters configuration, WordPress cannot create the upload directory (Or the servers temporary directory is unwritable).
Contact your host, and see if they can correct it for you.
