Image slider conflicting with WPML (4 posts)

Hi, thanks for the great theme!

I am using Simple Catch with WPML for an independent theatre in Beijing. Unfortunately, every time I update a page, some settings seem to get overwritten and the image slider on the front page disappears. I need to go through these steps to get it to reappear:

    1. Disable WPML
    2. Go to the Featured Slider settings and save the settings
    3. Reload the front page of the site once in a browser (menu is messed up due to no WPML)
    4. Enable WPML
    5. Following this, any change to the content of any page will cause the slider to disappear again.

This sounds like a WPML bug to me, so I raised it with them here. They seemed to indicate that it was some problem with the theme's "readiness" for multilingual WordPress installations, but promised to contact Catch Themes to work it out. Does anybody have a clue how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks again!

    Bump.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? My issue is still unresolved from the WPML side as well, have they tried contacting any of you guys at Catch Themes?

    Thanks :)

I have the same problem even if I deal with multilingual polylang plugin. I was wondering if cache system wasn't simply responsible for this issue.
I am trying to make some tests to verify my idea and let you know in case I find a solution.

    Hi,

I contacted WPML support and after some time they identified this as a bug in Simple Catch that arose since the certification process was carried out on a previous version. See my correspondence with them here:

    http://wpml.org/forums/topic/featured-slider-from-simple-catch-theme-conflicting-with-wpml/page/2

Dominykas, the support guy, has found a solution which involves a few changes to simplecatch_functions.php. He has contacted Catch Themes about this and a fix should be included in a future version soon. People can contact me here or PM if they want a diff of my current simplecatch_functions.php to see how the fix was implemented. Sakin or whoever is responsible for the theme on this forum, please post here or in the versions thread when the fix is implemented so I know I can safely update and overwrite the WPML custom fix in my file!

    Cheers
    Leon
