Thanks for using the plugin and for your question.
If you can give me an example of a WordPress page using an “image slider” and some information about an image slider you’re using I can do some research. Thanks for any additional information you can give me.
Something like Photonic http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/photonic/
and its Native Gallery Support
Enhanced Native Galleries
Your existing gallery insertions are left intact. However you can add a style parameter to it for special effects. The permitted values for style are:
strip-below: Displays a thumbnail strip with a running slideshow above.
strip-above: Displays a thumbnail strip with a running slideshow below.
no-strip: Displays running slideshow with no thumbnails.
launch: Doesn’t display a running slideshow, but shows all thumbnails. On clicking a thumbnail a popup slideshow is shown.
The catch is it only works with the [gallery] shortcode so my
[mla_gallery attachment_category=’spring13′]
just gets ignored.
Totally be keen to see & use what dgreene423 is mentioning! Its an amazing plugin David and thank you for all the time you put into this support forum.
I’ve had a look at Photonic and it looks like integrating it with [mla_gallery] should be possible. I have posted a thread in the author’s support forum (Photonic Extension for [mla_gallery] shortcode in Media Library Assistant) and am awaiting a response.
Thanks for investigating, David.
I got a quick and complete response to my query and I’ve done the work required to support the Photonic plugin in [mla_gallery]
. I plan to add this to my next release unless I find some problem as I do more testing.
Thanks again for suggesting this enhancement!
I have just released version 1.10, which includes support for the Photonics plugin. Have a look at the Documentation tab on the Settings page for further details on how to use it with [mla_gallery]
.
Let me know if you have any issues with using Photonics. Thanks again for your suggestion and for your patience.
