   Looking for a plugin that replaces the first letter of the excerpt (only) with an image based off any font I choose.

   I know that there is the drop caps plugin, but I can't seem to be able to get a version of this, so I was wondering if there any other plugins out there that do the same thing?

   I'm not aware of any plugins that do this (I haven't searched, though), but something like this [1] could be implemented with a plugin that filters the the_content filter.
