I’m testing on 3.6-beta2 and here is what happens.

I create new post and Image post format. Then click Select/Upload image and choose one of the image in media library. From the right I choose Link to None and click select image.

But it doesn’t respect my choice that I don’t want any link around image tag. Instead there is link around image.

    <a href="http://localhost/foxnet-themes/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Tulips.jpg"><img src="http://localhost/foxnet-themes/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Tulips.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="Tulips" class="wp-image-795 aligncenter size-featuredheader" /></a>

    You’re doing it backwards.

Select the image. THEY change Link to None.

Sorry, you lost me. Who are they:)

So is it intentional that no matter what I choice in Link to (Custom URL, Media File, Attachment Page, None) there is link around the image anyway pointing to image URL?
