Image paths in 1.5 (10 posts)

Hi, I recently upgraded from 1.2 to 1.5 following Podz excellent guide and everythhign looks good except I've lost my images.

Towards the end Podz seems to address thhis, but I'm not a CSS expert by any means, as you will see from my next comment!

Podz guide says, "Notice anything missing ? Images maybe ? You may have to edit style.css to get the image paths correct - you can do this through the Theme editor (it's just under the main set of headings on the same page as the Themes list)."

But i can't see where in the CSS the paths can be changed. Can anyone advise? I haven't changed anything in the CSS, so it's the standard Kubrick layout.

  2. Check index.php or header.php.

Well index.php is not the place anymore due to the use of themes and I can't figure it out in header.php. I should have been clearer, it's the uploaded images associated with posts that I'm missing; rather than images such as a header.

    So can someone tell me:

    a) where those images are stored

and b) where I change the path to make it find those and display them within the appropriate posts?

I think I kind of understand what you are saying, where's your regular directory where your images are?

Like in your posts you put in
    '<center><img src="http://www.patience.org/wordpress/wp-content//sIMG_4101.jpg" alt="balls" /></center>

But there's no place like that on the server. You probably need to go through all your posts and put in the correct URL

You know what, I fixed it, it was my slack upgrading & not uploading the images after I upgraded the software.

But thanks basketball for asking me the questions that forced me to look at it all again.

I am having a similar problem to fulham's. I've upgraded to 1.5 and the images I used a post are gone and I am unable to post any new images. My site is http://www.estephens.org

My images are stored here: estphens.org/images - fyi - my header image is stored there as well as seems to work fine in all browsers except old IE or IE on some macs.

Any suggestions on what I might need to edit (.css or index) that might help me to get images posted?
