Image overlapping Menu in Chrome?

    On my Test bed i am working on a new site using the MedialReel Theme.

    In Chrome when i visit this page and any other page with an image on the left i have the images overlapping the menu.

    I have tried setting the menu to position relative and having the z-index set to 9999 but to no avail. I am so frustrated because i have tried adding the z-index and position property to all aspects for the menu and the damn image keeps staying above everything!

    Any help would be SUPER appreciated.
