    Hi,

    installed this plug in and its working fine apart from the image not working. I assume this should be pulled from my google + profile?

    http://blog.blueventures.org/blue-ventures-staff-qa-with-gildas-andriamalala-assistant-conservation-coordinator

    Scroll to the bottom of that page to view.

    I have added my google code and added contributor to in google profile too.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    It actually uses Gravatar images, which are default for showing avatar image anywhere in WordPress. You can set up your Gravatar image and read all the details here:

    http://en.gravatar.com/

    Images not working on our site. We have multiple authors and they do have gravatars (working on other sites with different plugins). Thesis theme. Any recommendations appreciated. I can leave site name if you need it.

    I am also having trouble with the Gravatar images showing.

    I have the show avatar box clicked, but can't seem to get it to show.

    Here is a post http://thefakefootball.com/chets-2013-ppr-running-back-rankings/

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I also have this "i0.wp.com" showing at the bottom of my site, which I believe has something to do with the gravatar.

    There appear to be some javascript errors on your site.

    Gravatar image inside the author box is trying to load this image - http://thefakefootball.com/wp-content/plugins/bj-lazy-load/img/placeholder.gif - so try deactivating BJ Lazy Load plugin or making it work, to see if that solves it.

    Gravatar images in the comments that are missing, this is the file WordPress is trying to load - http://thefakefootball.com/wp-content/uploads/gravatar/default-s50.jpg - and it's missing.

    Not an issue with our plugin, but let me know if these help.

    Thanks a bunch. Deactivating that plugin allowed the images.

    The gravatar images do seem to be smushed. Is there a fix for that?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Add this to your site's CSS:

    .ts-fab-avatar > img { height: auto; }

    But if possible, please also get in touch with theme authors and let them now they should probably change this:

    img.avatar {
    width: 50px;
    height: 50px;
    display: block;
    float: left;
    margin-right: 10px;
    margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    Since that forces every Gravatar to be 50x50px, so if a plugin tries to show author's Gravatar in any other size, theme tries to make it 50x50.

    Thank you. Sorry to be a pest, but I inserted it into the style.css under "WordPress Core" without any change.

    .image-border img {
    width: 100%;
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
    line-height: 0;
    display: block
    }
    img {
    max-width: 100%;
    /* width: 100%*/
    }
    .ts-fab-avatar > img { height: auto; }

    a img.alignright {
    float:right;
    margin: 5px 0 15px 15px;
    }

    a img.alignnone {
    margin: 5px 15px 15px 0;
    }

    That's the only style.css I have.

    I am also having trouble displaying my Gravatar. I have the "Show Avatar" radio button selected as well as the "mystery man". I have not found a way to display the image (photo) you see for this post (gravatar).

    You can view a sample post here:

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Marc,

    Works for me, checking that page you linked to.

    Hi Slobodan,
    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this but the only reason the image is working now is because I installed another (WP User Avatar). That plugin let me upload my image and select it as the avatar which then was used by Fancier Author Box. Don't know if there is something not working or what but I have it working, after a fashion.

    I was would like some help as well please!

    There is no image showing up in my author box. I have the allow gravatars box checked in settings >dicussions and I can see a photo uploaded in my user profile.

    My gravatar account originally had a different email address than the one that I used for my website. However, I changed my email in gravatar so it should work. When I'm in "My account" on wordpress.com and on the wordpress.org site I see my gravatar working fine. So I'm completely baffled to why I can't get my image to show up in the author box.

    Here's a page for example - http://primalpooch.com/the-great-debate-do-dogs-need-fruits-and-vegetables/

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

    Is there any chance someone edited plugin files? Some of its HTML output (Gravatar) is missing, and that can only happen if plugin files were edited.

    If that's not the case, could there be another plugin that interferes with Gravatar output? Or maybe the theme does it?

    If you have any posts with comments, do Gravatars show up in them?

    No, no one edited the plugins at all. And no, I don't have any posts with comments right now so I'm not sure

    I suggest you do the following:

    1. Reinstall the plugin (deinstall then install)
    2. Deactivate plugins one by one, to see whether it's a plugin related issue
    3. Switch to the default theme (2011, 2012 or 2013) - if the issue disappears then it's something to do with the theme you're using and you should contact the theme author.

    Hello,

    I got this box, looks cool, except i got more than one author. The box shows the pix of only one and not the rest.

    I wonder why.

    Image of this author shows, the rest dont. This are 3 diffrerent authors

    http://thebusinessaim.com/webit-congress-2013-bringing-together-digital-tech-and-telco-markets/

    But that of this author does not show http://thebusinessaim.com/soup-and-stew-fixing-a-kitchen-dilemma-for-busy-professionals/

    All the authors need to have their en.gravatar.com accounts setup using the same email address they use to login to WordPress dashboard.
