Hello - I'm new to wordpress and css. I'm help a friend on his blog and we're posting images which aren't showing on the main page but show perfectly on the single post page. Can anyone help please? Thanks!

It kind of depends on your theme, and how it handles the excerpts that appear on the home page. It may use a plugin like "the excerpt reloaded" that can have parameters set to exclude images from the excerpt. The normal the_excerpt has no parameters.
So it would be helpful to see an example of the code for the home page and to know whether the site uses that (or a similar) plugin.
