Image links broken after server move

I recently moved my WordPress installation from one server to another.

One of the problems this has left me with is that links to images uploaded in my pre-upgrade posts no longer work.

For an example see this post:

If you click on the image it links to this page (I originally uploaded the images using ‘Link to page’ option):

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/?attachment_id=3509

But the image is not found. However, if you look at the properties of the image on the post its location is listed correctly as:

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/michaelschumacher_olivierpanis_kimiraikkonen_imola_2001.thumbnail.jpg

The problem appears to be that WordPress is not associating the attachment_id with the address of the image. But I have no idea how that works or how to fix it.

I’ve tried updating the permalink structure, but that didn’t make any difference. I’ve also tried using different themes but that doesn’t fix it either.

Any thoughts, possible solutions or information would be much appreciated.
