    Hi,

On the Submit a Post form, I have a problem with the image because it's not uploaded in the media library upon submission of the form.

...and I don't think there's a problem with the permission settings on the upload folder because it allows me to upload images when I go to Admin Panel > Post > Add Post > click Upload Media > and there I can add the images.

Thanks in advance for the help. :)

One thing to keep in mind is that images are attached to posts as custom fields, and not displayed automatically. To check that they're being attached properly, visit the Screen Options in the Write/Edit Post screen and check the box to display the "custom fields" panel. Then scroll down to see if the image URLs are attached, along with other submitted user info. See the readme.txt for details.

    thanks for your reply Jeff!

when i checked the custom fields of the post, there's no image URL attached.

    Only these fields are available:
    is_submission
    user_submit_ip
    user_submit_name
    user_submit_url

I'm also waiting for the admin to confirm the ftp permission settings.

    Thanks much for your help!

Yep, the "user_submit_url" field means it's working. The image URL is the value of the custom field, which will look something like "http://example.com/path/to/image.jpg" (or similar, depending on your WP setup). Please see the readme.txt for info on using the image custom field to display the images in your posts.

i uploaded an image but when i checked it on the custom fields of the submitted post, there's no value in "user_submit_url".

i guess this is something to do with FTP permission settings?

i mean to say, i activated (show) post image) and when i uploaded an image via USP form, "user_submit_image" cannot be found in the custom fields nor any links or value related to image.

Yes it sounds like there is an issue with image uploads. I would ensure that you can upload images via the media uploader and double-check that no other plugins or scripts are interfering.

    Hi
We can upload images with media uploader.

We uploaded user submitted post which worked however no image.

In edit post there is an option for custom fields for images, however no associated value (image).

we checked the library ad the image in not in there.

Any ideas on what we have done wrong?

Not sure, but it could be a conflict with a plugin or theme. I would try disabling all other plugins and see if it works. If so, re-enable the plugins one at a time until the conflict resurfaces. And/or you may want to check to see if it's a conflict with your theme by enabling the default theme and trying again.

    Did that, making progress!

Image is now uploaded in library.

Image URL is shown as Custom Field.

The image does however not appear in the post.

Yes, that is great! Please refer to the readme.txt for the template tags required to display the uploaded images in your posts (they are not displayed automatically).
