Image is Locked and Won't Reveal Text

I opening up an old question that was not resolved in the forum in hopes that someone now knows the solution. Post Tiles has worked great for me up until I tried to hide the category key. I have shortcoded three Post Tiles on the same page with a different category for each instance and it looks great. However, when you hover over the tiles with a featured image the text does not show and you cannot click on the tile to access the post. When you hover over a text only tile it works fine to access the post. I have included the thread of the previous support question below. The only thing different with my problem is that it is not just position 1 that doesn’t work. It is any tile that contains a featured image. Seems like hiding the category key might cause this bug to surface. Any thoughts or solutions are appreciated.

Great plugin, but when I set up a featured image in position 1 (first column, first row), the tile becomes unclickable, and fails to reveal text on mouseover.

I’m experiencing this bug too.

It only occurs when you opt to hide the Category Key in the settings.

For some reason this disables the first tile in the set from being clicked on. The rest of the tiles seem to work normally.
