Image handling? (4 posts)

Is a site using Postie only allowed to accept images either as attachments or when dropped into the email, but not both. If image is an attachment preferred test type is set to "Plain." But if the image is dropped into the email, the preferred text type needs to be set as html. Am I correct that you can't alternate within the same site? Also, I've tried text type both ways, but haven't been able to get an image to post as an attachment, only shows up in a post if I drop the image within the email and preferred text type is html. I'm using 1.5.12

    From Postie FAQ:
-Image Handling. Note you can only use this feature if your "Preferred Text Type" is set to "plain". Allows you to attach images to your email and automatically post them to your blog

-How can I get postie to display inline images? Make sure that you send e-mail formatted as html (richtext), and set postie to prefer html messages (in the message tab of the postie settings)

Please send an email that exhibits the problem to postie-test@devzing.com and I will take a look. Typically there is no problem with image attachments.

Both emails were processed correctly using both plain and html. However, forwarding emails does change their structure so this isn't a definitive answer.

Can you run a test using the "Run Postie (Debug)" button with one of these emails and send the resulting info to postie-help@devzing.com

    >Note you can only use this feature if your "Preferred Text Type" is set to "plain"

Upon reading this it isn't very clear what I meant. Only the #img# feature requires "plain". I'll update the instructions.
