    Hi,

I am searching for an image gallery plugin that would have the following features, but haven't found one yet:

    1. Allow me to create multiple galleries with some handy admin interface
    2. Each gallery has some metadata (title, description) and multiple images
    3. Each image has some metadata (title, caption)
    4. Image and thumbnail sizes are controlled by parameters and images are dynamically resized
    5. Galleries and images and their metadata can easily be fetched with some neat functions like list_galleries(); list_images(); the_title(); the_caption();

Is there something like this available or do I have to do it myself ;)

have you looked into Coppermine? http://coppermine-gallery.net/index.php

there is a plugin so that it is integrated into WP: http://mvdkwast.free.fr/stilglog/index.php/wordpress-plugins/coppermine-plugin/#download

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

No, I hadn't yet looked into Coppermine since it seemed like overkill for my purpose. But now that you mention it I guess this might be usable for me, so thanks, I will investigate further. :)

I've found ZenPhoto and Gallery2 to be fairly easy to integrate into WP and pretty light.

Lazy Image Layout seems quite nice, although it doesn't have a gallery option. Since I am lazy. It doesn't do much. But less is more. :) Although I prefer "less and more" ;)

Take a look at Lazyest Gallery - lazyest.keytwo.net

I have used a number of the bloated galleries - Lazyest has most of the needed functionality and simple to configure. Nice admin panel too.

I have a 1000+ images in this one - runs pretty well: http://route2null.com/index.php?page_id=3&file=Humor/

ImageVue is very simple to use, but is quite limited in terms of customisation: http://85.144.128.139/photos

Coppermine is the opposite, overkill for many but can be tuned a lot: http://www.digitalfrog.nl/index_coppermine.php?name=coppermine

And Gallery2, a bit more modern than Coppermine maybe: http://85.144.128.139/gallery

    Be carefull, links are NSFW.

For the record, I completely dropped Gallery and Coppermine.

I use pixelpost for single image display per page:

    and Imagevue for the galleries:

It would be nice to integrate all this in my main wordpress web page ( http://www.digitalfrog.nl ) but I guess it's for another time....
