Image formatting not taking (2 posts)

    Hi there

For some reason, the image formatting on my blog is not taking. I format the size to be something reasonable in the visual editor, and it looks okay... then I hit preview, and it fills the column. I go back to the editor, and it looks fine; the HTML editor has what looks like the right code:
    <a href="http://www.rob-howard.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/20110523-095231.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-966 alignleft" title="Not on the database." src="http://www.rob-howard.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/20110523-095231.jpg" alt="" width="307" height="461" /></a>

Hitting publish doesn't make a difference. See here: http://www.rob-howard.com/2011/05/calorie-counting/

I've already tried deactivating all of my plugins. All that did was screw everything else up, but the images still showed at big size.

Any ideas as to what the problem is? I've looked over the forum and all I can find is really old threads from a year or more ago, and even they didn't have answers.

No - that won't work. You need to either upload the correctly sized image to start with or you need to adjust your image dimensions in Settings -> Media to generate the correctly sized images. If you change those settings and need to re-generate the existing thumbnails, you will need to use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin:
