I don't know how it happened and I hope to find a solution to match image filenames between my photobucket images and the identical images in my upload folder for WordPress.
For example, a simple image file name like car.jpg in photobucket ends up being automatically renamed to something like 289f5d49273f6492e5eea72745c54437.jpg in my upload folder.
Another strange thing is that no matter how many times I've deleted files like 289f5d49273f6492e5eea72745c54437.jpg in my upload folder, it automatically reappears shortly afterwards.
I want to edit the image data in my posts I have which contain photos linked to photobucket so that my hosting company doesn't think I'm using them to store photos. I need the images with long filenames to be attached to posts, but I can't find where these files belong thanks to the name changes (searching for them doesn't work).
I have hundreds of image files that have names mismatched (the images are the same, but the names have been changed). None of the images are listed in my Library either.
