    Hi all,

I was trying to upload an image to Image Library but it was just not working. Everytime I tried to upload an image it seems fine but the image doesn't show, while previously uploaded images show its thumbnail on Media Library list, my recently uploaded image just show its name, when I click on it, the 'File URL' field tells this for example: http://localhost:8888/wp_dev/livinwithin/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/IMAG0015.jpg but actually there's no /2012 on /uploads

I've tried both multi-file uploader & browser uploader, I've deactivated all plugins, I've tried on TwentyEleven theme, I've even checked 'Store uploads in this folder' field in Settings > Media & yes, it has pointed to wp-content/uploads directory, I also check my permission on the folder & it's already drwxr-xr-x, so the uploader thing is supposed to be working right..?

fyi, my last working uploaded file was on 2011 so I don't have comparison between WP 3.4 & WP 3.3.2.

does anyone know how to fix this..? your help & suggestions are very appreciated, thank you in advance.. :)

A couple of questions that might help someone give you the answer you're looking for.

First are you running this on localhost using mamp, xamp or some other flavor or apache, php and mysql?

What version of WP are you using, I assume 3.4? Is multisite enabled?

Try using chmod 777 wp-content/uploads - you may also try chown apache:apache assuming that indeed you are running apache on your system.

This sounds like a permissions problem to me.

I've checked again, turns out the File URL in Settings doesn't point to the URL I mentioned above, so it was my fault hehe.. :D. I've corrected it & this image upload issue is resolved..! Thank you for helping rfair404 :)
