• Hi,

I’m moving hosts and I need to backup my blog, however i can’t seem to find over half the images in my blog using my ftp client. If i get an url of an image on my blog in firefox it lloks like this: http://kaganof.com/kagablog/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/163.jpg

but i can’t find that directory via ftp.

on my cpanel it shows my site is 250mb.. but when I downloaded it via ftp it was half that size.. most of the images missing, even though i downloaded the entire public_html directory.

so where are these images? where is the “upload” directory? how do i acess it and back it up?

please help- time is running out before i have to change to a new host.

    Regards,
    Joel

  • They all seem to be there as I can browse to them:

    http://kaganof.com/kagablog/wp-content/uploads/

Check that URL, see they are there. You should be able to download it via FTP without any issues that I can think of. 🙂

it’s very odd… i can’t see them via http://ftp.. i’ve tried cute ftp and the fireftp client for firefox without any luck.

i’ve copied the uploads directory to another directory via cpanel and am downloading the copied direcotory, but syill can’t see the original.

    Thanks,
    Joel
