Image Captions Not Aligning With Photo (10 posts)

Out of nowhere, I started having problems when adding captions to photos. I always use center alignment for my photos and add a caption. Now when I upload, the image aligns to the left (although it's set to center) and the caption aligns to the right and outside the image.

The only way to get it to appear correctly is to switch to HTML view and move the caption.

Here is the html that appears when I first upload a photo and add a caption:

    [caption id="attachment_1803" align="aligncenter" width="418"]<img class="size-full wp-image-1803 " title="Cynthia_Hair" src="http://www.website.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Cynthia_.png" alt="Cynthia_Hair" width="418" height="600" /> Season 4 Reunion. Credit: Bravo[/caption]

The caption in this photo is "Season 4 Reunion. Credit: Bravo" that appears at the end. In order to get my caption to align properly and along with the image, I have move the caption and add code so it appears as:

    [caption id="attachment_1803" align="aligncenter" width="418" caption="Season 4 Reunion. Credit: Bravo"]<img class="size-full wp-image-1803 " title="Cynthia_Hair" src="http://www.website.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Cynthia_.png" alt="Cynthia_Hair" width="418" height="600" />[/caption]

Any idea why this is happening? I've never had to change anything when uploading images/adding captions. I'm using Thesis theme 1.8, WordPress 3.4.1

Not only that, but it switches back to the original code if I switch my view to Visual.

    Link to your site?

    [caption id="attachment_1803" align="aligncenter" width="418"]<img class="size-full wp-image-1803 " title="Cynthia_Hair" src="http://www.website.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Cynthia_.png" alt="Cynthia_Hair" width="418" height="600" /> Season 4 Reunion. Credit: Bravo[/caption]

If you want help, take off the tinfoil hat and don't change the site link to website.com .

Upload a picture, add a caption (don't fix it) and post the link here.

Ok, uploaded a pic and added a caption. Alignment is set to center. Pic can be seen at:

    Your Page Errors

Your theme is either adding it correctly then it breaks because of the above errors or it doesn't do it right which is impossible to tell without taking care of those html errors first.

Having same problem since upgrading to 3.4.1

Wanting to insert image, align right, with caption under image, selecting image, views at larger size. Prior to upgrade all used to work fine.

It also looks good in the edit window inside WordPress. I am only seeing the problem in preview mode. Not tried publishing yet as dont want to publish something that is wrong to our followers.

As 'msangelms' states the code looks the same as her's:
    [caption id="attachment_4387" align="alignright" width="243"]<img class=" wp-image-4387 " title="Annotation Function : CR-5000 R14 Zuken" src="http://blog.zuken.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/AnnotationFunction_CR-5000_Zuken-300x211.jpg" alt="Annotation Manager provides intelligent management of feedback from design reviews" width="243" height="171" /> Annotation Manager provides intelligent management of feedback from design reviews[/caption]

    Any ideas?
