Image Captions Making Content Disappear

    WP novice here, and very confused.

    I have been adding additional photos to an existing page (published, public page) and for some reason the captions are making the page appear to have no content when I go to view it. I added a few photos (captions and all) with no problem at first, but from this point on, it isn’t working properly. There are only 12 images (all with captions) on the page right now and I can add more images just fine, but if I add a caption, everything except for the page title and my social media buttons is gone from the front view. Does this make sense? Any idea why it is doing this?

    What theme are you using? Where did you download it from? Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Using Perihelion WordPress Theme from RocketTheme and I am running 3.1.3, so I do not have access to the Twenty Fourteen theme. I know the risks of not updating, but I am not authorized to do an automatic or manual update and the people I am working on the website for did not want to give me access. I was just recently asked to take over their website and know only the basics.

    Why are the site owners continuing to use an old copy of WordPress? Are they not aware that their site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? They need to upgrade WordPress asap. As they have such an old version of WordPress, they will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

    I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor as this appears to be a theme issue. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products here.

    Darn, was hoping it was just some simple thing I was doing wrong! Oh well, I’ll check with them for some assistance. Thanks for your guidance, esmi!

    sounds weird, but removing the link from the photo being captioned fixed this issue for me on a theme.
