Image Caching (7 posts)

    Hi,

Does WP cache images? I keep reading that it doesn't but when I update any image, the media library shows the updated version but the front-end doesn't. I have no cache plugins installed, have cleared all history and cache from 3 browsers but still images won't update.

The only way an updated image will show is for me to give it a slightly different file name.

If there is no caching, how can I correct this?

    Thanks,
    Paul.

It's the iPlayer image which is updated in image library, not on front-end...

Which image? Since I've not looked at it before, really no way to know what is new or old. Does your host possibly use caching?

The VPN Router / iPlayer image on the home page. Not checked hosting yet but I've never had an issue before.

This is the image I see:

Is that not what you want or what you see?

No I've since updated that - iplayer logo in bottom left, wifi symbol rotated 180 degrees. I'll maybe have to contact my host.
