Image and Text Alignment (2 posts)

I've been trying for a long time to figure out how to get my images to align a certain way in relation to my text. I can easily edit HTML and I know what code to use, my problem is that when I say "save and continue to edit" or "save" or "publish", the editor ignores my changes and aligns my text next to the image when I don't want it to be aligned.

I have tried using paragraph breaks in which I specify the text and image alignments but the editor ignores my input and puts the text on the right-hand side of the image, forcing me to to effectively have to remove the image in order for my paragraph formatting to not be broken.

I have checked my template, played around with it and I still can't find anything that would be dictating a pre-set or default position for the images in relation to the text.

I decided to stop using the visual editor in the wordpress interface since I managed to successfully configure Word 2007 to display my blog entries I make them.
