Hi Laurent,
well, we did not actually test the plugin for/on multisite.
It should work, though, as it doesn’t include any functionality specific to multisite, or not-multisite.
The workflow is as follows:
User with the edit_users
capability can access the settings page, where the actual meta boxes for any public (custom) post type are being fetched (via an AJAX request) and displayed.
On the post.php
and post-new.php
pages (i.e., when creating a new post, or editing an existing post) the meta boxes are hidden (actually: removed) according to the plugin settings for the specific user role—post type combination.
If you encounter any problems, don’t hesitate to drop us a line, though.
Kind regards,
Thorsten | intermedi8
I am trying to use this plugin in multisite and acting as the super-admin I do not see the options under users at all. Too bad – this is exactly what I need. Any suggestions on how to make it work?
Hi AMGill,
we just released an update that fixes this bug.
You were absolutely right in that the plugin before was not being loaded when activated network-wide, so thanks for the hint.
Kind regards,

Beautifully done! I see it now. Thanks so much for your quick response!
