    Hi,
    I feel a bit embarrasses about asking this as I'm sure there is a simple answer. I’m just can't find it.

    I have just started with WordPress today and have on the menu Home and About. I cannot see how to add any other menu items. I have tried adding text and giving it a different category name but everything ends up in the about page.

    How do I add another menu item? All help greatly appreciated.

    Create Pages,

    appearance / Menus

    Also once in the "menus" section please make sure to look at "theme Locations" as numerous themes offer menu options.

    You need to add a new page. Pages are shown on the menu bar. Maybe start by reading the documentation http://codex.wordpress.org/First_Steps_With_WordPress

    see your admin screen

    Appearance --->Menus

    From that you could call up the pages or by custom's

    If you create & publish Pages (not Posts), these will be added automatically to your top menu.
