[resolved] I'm redirecting and nothing's fixing it! (2 posts)

    I recently switched a single-install to multi-site. Followed all the instructions, moved to another folder, activated multi-site. No problems!

    Until I try to get to the network admin. Then I get a redirect loop. The wp-admin/ works just fine. wp-admin/network/ is forever redirected.

    All my permalinks are working and redirecting properly, too.

    I've tried everything short of hacking away at the the core.

    From wp-config

    /* Multisite */
    define('WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true);

    define('MULTISITE', true);
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', true);
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'domain.com');
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/mu/');
    define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
    define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

    From .htaccess

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^wp-admin$ wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) mu/$1 [L]
    RewriteRule ^(.*\.php)$ mu/$1 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    I gave up and took the nuclear option. Exported the posts/pages, downloaded uploads/themes/plugins, cleared the existing site and reinstalled.

    Works like a charm now. =)
