Can you provide the URL for that plugin? It would make it a lot easier to offer you more specific advice about how to get back in.

Generically speaking, you would reset your password using one of these methods but without knowing what’s going on those methods may or may not work for you.

I am learning WordPress. I’m working with a template I downloaded and an online video learning program. Everything seemed to be going well as I grappled to learn all the ins and outs this lovely program has. I checked the solutions offered in your link — but I can change it OK by using the ‘change your password’ option on the login box thanks.
Then I followed instructions to up my security and loaded a plug-in called ‘Semisecure Login Reimagined’ from the plugin options offered inside WprdPress (it has an encrypted login security system). I’m pretty sure this is my problem. Now I can’t get my login and password to work. I’ve tried many times but bo joy.
I have changed my password twice and it still won’t go.
My website is not yet built – I have backed it up but as I can’t get in – I can’t use my backup.
I’m thinking maybe I should reload WordPress on my server – reload my template and begin again – is this my best option?
Also what security system do you recommend? And thanks for your help.

I was also locked out of my wp site. The only thing I can think of is when I activate the akismet plugin. It is tell me that my password is incorrect and I know it is. What can I do?

I need help. I downloaded the plugin named Semi Secure. I activated it and logged out of my system. While trying to come back in, my admin interface told me that my password was not correct. I could not even logged into my own site, even after resetting my password. I am the only administrator. Please help.
