I’m the second one who’s written about this issue. The first post wasn’t answered, so I’m writing this.

I like your plugin, but after adding the shortcode [bgmp-map] to my post the textual content when viewed live is not there. I’m talking about <p> and
. All the text is run together.

In the WP edit post page everything looks normal. But somewhere along the line something happened. Sorry, I’ve spend at least an hour on this and can’t fix it.

    Any suggestions?

Correction: it’s the <p> and the </br> tags that are dropped. So all the formerly 5 paragraphs run together.

Can you link to the affected page on your site so I can see it happening? It’d also be helpful if you linked to the other forum thread that you mentioned, since it may have additional info that’d be helpful.

Can you try temporarily disabling all your other plugins and switching to TwentyTwelve, and then checking if it still happens? If it doesn’t, then the problem is caused by another plugin, or a conflict between BGMP and another plugin. In that case, just turn them back on a few at a time until you isolate the one that conflicts with BGMP.

It wasn’t the plugins. It was Directorypress v7.1.3 which I found out when switching to Twentytwelve.

Your plugin works fine– but the textual formatting is all run together. Here’s my page. Looks like I’ve had it, unless you spot something, since this them is being obsoleted in favor of a responsive version.

    Note:
See that tags were not broken– only the <p> and
. As a workaround I was able to restore <p> and
formatting manually, but that is not feasible because it just takes too much time.

And here’s the forum link for a person having a similar issue. Doesn’t look like he uses the same theme developer.
