Illegal string warning

    I’ve installed this plugin in a new WordPress installation and I get the following warning splashed across the top of every page:

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘enable_autobackups’ in /data01/c4362503/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-database-backup/wp-database-backup.php on line 143

    Is there anything I can do to fix it?

    Actually, that’s the message in the Scheduler window. I get a similar message across the top of every page but referring to “line 311”.
