I have always used WAMP for personal installs and for my company Intranet on a server. I recently installed IIS7 and using WP through that. It seems a lot slower, and have to jump through hoops for permalinks and also images uploads. I just want an opinion of which the community recommends for a Windows Network environment.

If I had to setup an intranet for a client I would just setup a Linux box on an old PC. IMO that would be the best way to do it :)

FYI: as per the Forum Welcome the moderators will ask that you start a new topic.

Try accessing the intranet by typing http://your intranet PC's IP address]/

You need to have the intranet on the IIS server and have it configured as a website :)

If this does not work...PLEASE start a new topic :)

Sounds like IIs7 is configured poorly. Keith is correct. A LAMP server is much easier and faster.

I decided to continue on with WAMP, which is a much better choice over IIS.
