iframe with wordpress backend

    I have a project that is highly user interactive.
    s2member…
    -Users can Post, post images, videos
    -add content to a calendar
    -edit their profile
    -Chat
    -subscribe and manage their subscriptions to blog posts via email RSS
    -same for blog post comments
    and more…

    Some where along the line, there was links to pop iframes to the various user settings such as adding events to the calendar, subscriptions etc… My client is insistent on keeping the same structure as “he doesn’t want his users to navigate away from his page and get lost in the backend.” I understand his concerns, but the iframes load very very slow. Is there A) any way to speed up iframe content? B) any alternate suggestions that solve my situation?
