If I used html before, then switch to wp, do I change htacess?

Hi,

Right now my site is using only html files in root and in subfolders.
My wp is installed in root, but I’m still configuring it and also it’s not visible to anyone yet because index.html is what’s getting served by default.

After I’m doing setting up wp, I’m gonna delete the html files.

So do I need to change any of the htaccess files for security reasons?
